Cygwin Installation Instructions

Detailed Cygwin installation instructions are added to HPC documentations. 

STARCCM+

Update: 1 star design license is added (10/20/2009)

STAR-CCM+ is installed on all workstations.

To run this software, ssh into one of the workstations and type, starccm+ at the terminal window. This software requires an X11 Server, so make sure you installed Cygwin or another X11 Server first.

ssh -X login@hpcxx.me.utexas.edu
login@hpcxx:~$ starccm+

OOF: Finite Element Analysis of Microstructures is installed on all HPC workstations.

Type oof2 to start this program

Gams 23.2

General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) version 23.2 is installed on all servers. gams232, gams232lib and gams232batch are defined for your convenience in /etc/profile.d/gams.sh

Chemkin-CFD for Fluent

  • Chemkin-CFD for Fluent is installed for Fluent 12.

Documentation is located under /opt/reaction/chemkincfdfluent20091_linuxx8664/docs

Fluent 12

  • Fluent 12 is installed on HPC Lab.

Type fluent12 or /opt/ansys_inc/v120/fluent/bin/fluent -r12.0.16 to run Fluent Version 12

Intel(R) Math Kernel Library Update

  • Intel(R) Math Kernel Library 10.2 Update 1 (Version 10.2.1.017) is installed

Intel Cluster Toolkit Compiler Edition 3.2

Updated version of IntelĀ® Cluster Toolkit Compiler Edition 3.2 (3.2.1-015) is installed. This software package contains the following products.

Matlab 2009a

Matlab 2009a, released on Feb 12, 2009, is installed on all HPC servers. You do not need to make any changes to use the new version of Matlab. If you like to continue using the old version, you can still use it as it is not removed from the servers.

To run Matlab 2008b, just type

/usr/local/matlab/R008b/bin/matlab or matlab2008b.

Mathematica 7

Mathematica 7 is installed on all HPC servers. The old version can still be accessed using the commands below.
