About HPC

Within the ME Technology and Educational Resources (METER), the Mechanical Engineering (ME) Department maintains a remotely accessible High Performance Computing (HPC) linux cluster of 11 rack mounted Dell Poweredge 2950 workstations running Ubuntu Linux. These machines, hpc01.me.utexas.edu-hpc11.me.utexas.edu, each each have 2 dualcore, hyperthreading 3.73 MHz Xeon processors and 8 GB of shared memory. Home directories are maintained on a separate Dell Poweredge 2950 server with 800 GB of storage space with a nightly backup.
