Cygwin Installation Instructions

Detailed Cygwin installation instructions are added to HPC documentations.

Matlab 2009a

Matlab 2009a, released on Feb 12, 2009, is installed on all HPC servers. You do not need to make any changes to use the new version of Matlab. If you like to continue using the old version, you can still use it as it is not removed from the servers.

To run Matlab 2008b, just type

/usr/local/matlab/R008b/bin/matlab or matlab2008b.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are having any issues.

Mathematica 7

Mathematica 7 is installed on all HPC servers. The old version can still be accessed using the commands below.

  • MathKernel6
  • Mathematica6
  • math6
  • mathematica6
  • mcc6

GAMS 23.0

General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) version 23.0 is installed on all servers. gams230, gams230lib and gams230batch are defined for your convenience in /etc/profile.d/gams.sh

HPC Cluster Upgrade

HPC Cluster is upgraded to the latest LTS (Long Term Support) version of Ubuntu. As a result of this, we changed the host keys so you will need to remove the old host keys from your secure shell clients and add the new ones.
Please use these new host key fingerprints to verify that you are indeed connecting to one of the HPC machines.
